We are sad to announce that Brian Hoskins died peacefully on April 21st 2016. He is survived by loving wife Janet, sons James and Robert and 4 grandchildren.
He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
Brian's funeral was held on Thursday 12th May at the Hinton Park Woodland Burial Ground near Christchurch in Dorset. Thank you to everyone who attended and has offered their condolences over the last few weeks. It means a lot to the family that Brian is remembered with such fondness.
In keeping with his love of nature, Brian wished for a simple, ecologically friendly funeral. Rather than cut flowers, his preference was for donations to Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity who cared for him with great care and compassion during his final days.

A copy of Brian's remembrance leaflet can be found here and the full text from which we extracted the words can be found here. It is a detailed and often fascinating memory of growing up in Chandlers Ford before, during and after World War II.
